Here's a '56, like mine...only not messed with.

I've sent an email to a Gibson super guru...we'll see.

Well, having only looked at this for maybe 10 minutes I can tell you, this is a 100% original Norlin logo Les Paul Special from 1991. This guitar should not exist. And it's like it's never been played.

Is the paintjob on it a bright yellow, or is that just the pics?

1991/Norlin?
I don't get it. why would any player want that.
There are still some that think the neck PU is moved to accommodate the extra frets which only proves they cannot detect the difference in length of each.

No, not really yellow...like a darker mustard.

Toan is in the logo. If it's a NOS logo then it has NOS toan. Get with it.

Hmm, smell report coming later too.

I played my '65 Special yesterday - that's particularly stinky at present. Like old crotch mixed with Parmesan.

Is it that "parmesan" my parents used to buy in the 80's, that would come in the little plastic and cardboard shaker, required zero refrigeration and never went off? That stuff used to smell so, so foul....
The older I get, the more disappointed in myself I become.

This think is cool even with the heavy wrap tail. Haven't plugged it in yet. P90s are bog standard older Gibson which is good, pots are 500k, also good. Both these elements could have been different (p100 and 300k).

Neck is like a modern SG neck - wide and between an R9 and slim 60s. Super easy to play. Practice on Sat!
