Don't have one, asking for someone who wants one.
There's one on TM at the moment.
Thanks, I guess around 800 dollars.

Have posted this one before, but can't find the thread.

Not mine, but in the family. Gibson vintage serial number thingy puts it at 1907.

Cool old guitar, plays nice too. Been a few years, can't remember how it smells.

This one turned up yesterday and currently smells of 3 in 1 oil and polish as is stripped down for cleaning/fret dressing.

This one an Airline branded 1959 Harmony Meteor still has that musty old wood smell.

Beyond a critical point within a finite space, freedom diminishes as numbers increase. This is as true of humans as it is of gas molecules in a sealed flask. The human question is not how many can possibly survive within the system, but what kind of existence is possible for those who so survive.

Ben, the mute "would" work if there was any felt left on the base!
who has a 125? I've always wanted to try one - I love old gibson necks, full hollow guitars and P90's, reckon a dual pickup ES125 would just about be perfect for me
Might be what's on my Teisco - P90 kind of copy, quite a character really.

There is a cool story behind that cabinet, was built by a great-great uncle from the wooden crate his family belongings were shipped to NZ in.

Re: Smelly old guitars - 5 long years!

Post by H671 »

There's a blues song called "5 long Years", and thats how longI've been waiting for a replacement Dearmond Rowe pick up for my H671. The bridge pick up shorted out & I had a repair chap fit another one into the original housing to maintain the look. It worked well but had a low output (6K ohms), so after a long 5 year wait, one finally surfaced ebay! :D

Fitting it was a laugh! - I had tied string around the pot shafts - yes you guessed right - the string fell off two of them. Bummer!
I finally got it sorted & wow, what a difference. It measured over 11k ohms and had some real presence & power. Totally transformed the guitar which had sounded a bit thin & whimpy.
