1957 Les Paul Standard
Those of you that follow the LP forums will have seen this.
A friend of mine purchased this a month or so back and took delivery about a week ago. It is essentially an unplayed late '57. He is a true protector of these artifacts and I'm pleased it found its way to him.
Fap away.

Looks wicked!!!
One thing... wouldn't you be nervous about stringing the guitar with the strings over the tail piece - in case you scratched the tail piece?

Wowzers, that is a fine looking guitar. You could sell that and buy a house in Auckland!

Re: 1957 Les Paul Standard
If I owned that I wouldn't have the lead/polish and case candy stuff sitting on the guitar! Get that off my guitar.
They keep telling me tone is in the fingers, but I have yet to see a "look at my fingers" thread.

Re: 1957 Les Paul Standard
A repaint in Pelham Blue might help it somewhat, but at the end of the day it's still a guitar beginning with G.

Re: 1957 Les Paul Standard
Unplayed for 60 years?!!!!!
It takes special ability to build a guitar that bad.
So Grant, you hanging at your friend's place for the next 6 months?

Beyond a critical point within a finite space, freedom diminishes as numbers increase. This is as true of humans as it is of gas molecules in a sealed flask. The human question is not how many can possibly survive within the system, but what kind of existence is possible for those who so survive.
