ok.... put flats on, 5 mins later I was thinking how come I never used flats before? Shit this is how this bass is meant to be! I like the spankiness of rounds but fuck that, lovely smooth flats that I'll never need to change, ever
Did the fretwork needed yesterday, did a quick level and crown. Polished on the buffing wheel. Bit of tilt in the neck and now with these strings, it sounds/plays like a million bucks!
I can even forgive the coloured ball ends!
