Seems like a simple mistake, surprised they didn't just update the listing when proof was presented tho'...

Def a 2B (when it left the factory), but it might have had a factory update to a iiC or something, that did happen often.
I have a 2B, pretty good amps (also have a iiC+ and iii green). Just about as aggressive as the IIC+, III etc but with it's own slightly different flavour. Still very much a mark tone though.

Much better reverb on it than the later models and the clean channel is the same.

Yes I’ve owned a Mk3 purple stripe and Mk2B. The B was the best out of the two imho.
