Maybe some problem with my eyes, but in his first 3 detailed posts, I see references to it being the original neck and I can't see any references to non original routing.

Happy to be corrected, but that's what formed my opinion.

“The serial number 0 9300 was pressed into the headstock rear, which presumably was the original restamped after a previous minor headstock repair…”

“Keeping with the neck for now: another challenge was the fact it had been shaved and narrowed in the past, with a near 1 9/16” late ‘60s nut width…”

“The pickup routes were rather sloppy from the factory, as well as modified be the previous owner who fabricated his own slightly oversized square cornered pickup covers and Dremel’d some wood away so they would fit…”

I'm ambivalent... I'm no fan of 3 PU Customs, and it was hardly a collector's piece. The finished product looks pretty cool, but seems like a lot of work. You get the sense he rather enjoyed the process though and I'm guessing he got the Custom for a pretty sweet price.

I admire his skill and seeing the process is great, but i prefer the original LPC.
Even though it had been messed with, neck shaved etc it has a cool story about it being a 60s standard body that was factory made into a Custom for some reason.
I’d rather that than the converted burst version.

As soon as my '59 Precision arrives I'm whipping the headstock off. Headless tunes better
