~NZ$3,600. Good price if all original and sounds good.

Is it wrapped in plastic? 😯

I would have thought more. I think there's a forumite who sold one recently, not sure what he got for his.

Yeah a family from Brixton had previously been using it as a sofa.

It might be loaded with Goodmans speakers being a '60.

Would you say that’s a positive or negative?

I’d be a hard pass at that price if it had Goldman’s. Got a few Audiom 60’s and 50’s and to my ear they don’t sound as good as the blues.

Got any pics of your goodmans? I've always been curious about them. Never seen any local. Do they deliver Sabbath tonez?

Yeah I don't even like AC30s and I'm tempted....

Just did exchange rate at NZ$3700.00. Add approx. NZ$300.00 for freight cost. Then add GST. So that's NZ$4600.00 landed. Then add a stepdown transformer. Then add refurbish of electronics (electrolytic caps at a minimum) and possibly repairs. And dunno the state of the speakers. So for me I'd have to really want one!

Can't see what year it is on the label, it must be at least 1964 judging by the colour. Alnico Blue (1962-63) or Gray (1963 and later) Celestion G12 speakers were standard.

I've got a major hard on for old Vox's and find this pretty interesting - prompted me to pull out the Vox bible....

The price tag says it's a 1960, which it probably isn’t. It looks like it has corner protectors - which would date to ’64 at the earliest (assuming cab is original to chassis). If it was 1960 - it would probably have had fawn tolex. Other than that - who knows from that pic?

If 1960, it'll likely be an AC40/4 (discontinued late 1960) or AC30/6 (first advertised Nov 1960).

Top boost was introduced Dec 1961 (mounted in back panel). Top panel mount TB wasn't introduced until September 1963.

Speakers are the big question mark, as that’s were most of the special sauce is: If 1960, it'll either have silver "Rola G12's" or the very earliest Celestion T530s (two versions - silver no magnet cover, then blue with magnet cover) - either would be great. If '64 or later - could be T530 or one of the T1088 versions.

Mike C's pretty much on the money, except that it should have a voltage selector, so no step-down needed.

Conclusion: could be a dog or could be the holy grail (copper panel integral top boost with original functioning blues that haven't been run through).

Landed price is probably reasonably good if 100% original ’64 TB. But, and it’s a big BUT, it could sound like s#*t, and (from experience) these amps are fragile now and shipping (even if babied) will more than likely damage it in some way. For example, how pissed would you be if the speakers turned up not working necessitating a re-cone?

Sooooo, if you’re missing the casino, you know what to do…..!

Cab's in storage, but here's a couple of representative pics of the Audiom 50 and 60 - most common in AC15's. No foggy tones to be had with these - at least from my testing. "Scratchy" is how I would describe them.

I think Iommi used Goodman 12-P's didn't he? Which are ceramic rather than alnico?

Good point and quite likely it does!
