I'm wanting to add a parallel (dry) output to my Tech 21 Leeds, want it active/buffered rather than a passive split. I never use batteries so there's room for a small PCB.
Could anyone do this?
Can anyone do this mod for me? Second output (dry)

So it's just a buffer tapped off the input with it's own output?
Why not build it in a separate box, a simple buffer splitter without battery could be in a tiny box and leave the Leeds resale able or more so.
Happy to build one of those for you

Want my pedalboard as small as possible and not fussed on resale.Snarblinge wrote:Why not build it in a separate box, a simple buffer splitter without battery could be in a tiny box and leave the Leeds resale able or more so.

Well that was going to be my next question, cheers Snitchez!
Snarblinge, roughly how much will this cost?
I had a look inside last night but didn't grab a photo, this is one I found online for a VT Bass but it's exactly the same. I never use a battery so the board could sit there but there's also a fair bit of room at the top behind the pots. Looks like the second jack would need to go near the bottom under the DC jack. Should be able to tap the input and power without removing that board, I've heard they are very tricky to get back in properly!

Re: Can anyone do this mod for me? Second output (dry)
Thanks for the recommendation, I do what I can in my spare time.
Cost is essentially time (yours) freight and parts, so maybe $20.
The expensive stuff is always enclosures and switches, this has none of that, I have all the bits for a buffer kicking around so no wait time there.
Tapping into input etc is as you say, though looks like enough room up top if you prefer. 2nd thoughts leave it down in the battery compartment.
