DIY pedal board
Had $4 worth of I think mahogany headboard wood from the op shop laying about some thought I'd build an enclosed pedal board and have my volto mounted underneath. Couple of weekends of toil when I had an hour or two.
What I have learnt: it's hard to do finger joins with a rusty lumber saw.
Made my own patch cables and hard wired the I put output into the sides of the board.
Cheers

I think it looks great and functional. If you don't mind me saying, I would screw a supporting bit of timber on both long sides, just like you did on the short sides. That way, if you stomp a bit hard it won't break the mounting board.
When faced with quality, I recognise it every time.

Yes I will put one at the back, but I need to cut. Thinner piece of wood for the front. The sides and top are glued also.

Nice job. I don't think I would've attempted the finger joints without the right gear, but they make it look better than a butt joint. Have you limited yourself to *just* 5 pedals in the future? If so, this might be a good strategy for those amoungst us who battle acute pedal GAS.
Too many guitars, not enough talent.

I can feed more power points through the existing holes in the top. Or I can drill a purple more holes .
I don't use much more than what I have on there.
I'm loving the tidyness of volto

I should really build something like this too, nice work.
Tube amp and guitar tones straight from 1958… amazing how believable the sounds were back then, even without the modellers...

Re: DIY pedal board
Well I've had it for over a week, daily playing, not more than an hour or so a day though, but the lights still show 3 blue bars (full battery).fuzziebro wrote:what sort of hours are you getting on the volto between charges?
Supposedly 36 hours with 1 to 5 pedals. But I'd be happy with 6 hours. Would be a rarity I'd play for more than that on the trot.
