Help! PedalTech Gurus.

Post by Slowy »

Friend of mine showed up with a pedalboard that "my cousin was going to throw in the rubbish years ago so I put it in my cupboard". (I just love the Polynesian attitude! )

Anyway, among such treasures as a lovely old Boss DD2 and a home made OD that's as good as a Timmy, there was this Fuzz. It's spitty and farty and that's when it's sounding as good as I can make it. I would have thought it needed a bias tweak but, as you can see, there ain't one. Any ideas as to what could be done?

Beyond a critical point within a finite space, freedom diminishes as numbers increase. This is as true of humans as it is of gas molecules in a sealed flask. The human question is not how many can possibly survive within the system, but what kind of existence is possible for those who so survive.

Try swapping out the LM308, farty and spitty sounds like perfection tho' if you ask me!

Think Tony might be right - looks like a rat - the diodes must be mounted close to the switch and not on the board...
