Bipolar supply (calling all pedal geeks)
Ok, so being in night shifts has given me the opportunity to read a little about my dual rail +9/-9v power issue. Classic power struggle.
This schematic was put forward:
My only issue as I wonder if the current drawer would be too much with the spring reverb for the max1044. I think it is limited to 20ma
An lt1054 chip will get up to 5 times this current draw.
Does anyone know if they can be substituted pin for pin on this layout or have a layout at hand specifically for the lt1054?

Found the data sheets and it would appear the pic outs are the same.

IIRC, Pin 1 and 8 need to be disconnected for the LT1054.

Check the circuit in here -- it talks further down about the different types of charge pump chips.

I'm a bit bi-polar. Well, half of me is.
And I and frequently have road rage.
But I have no idea what you fellas are on about here.

I did see that circuit.mi don't need the voltage doubling feature, which is why I pulled up the more simple layout earlier. That road rage page does explain the chips well though.

Re: Bipolar supply (calling all pedal geeks)
Well I decided to order an lt1054 and a MAX1044.
Ill try em out and see I guess.
Most likely I will be testing the circuit with batteries so Ill have some time to nut out the wall wart supply side of things.
