Re: Stage centre reverb build
if you havnt bought the enclosure yet, check element14, if you spend enough the shipping is free, and they have the tiny 2.1 dc sockets if you dont need switching

Re: Stage centre reverb build
Do enough of this crap and you'll have spare DC sockets for days. Unless you get into synths, in which case you'll forget to order any >_<

Re: Stage centre reverb build
Frustration stage.
Powered up for first time today.
Seems to have little to no reverb. However banging the tank produces lush loud springy clashing.
The pedal seems to amplify the guitar signal a lot, but no reverb added??
This is the layout.

Re: Stage centre reverb build
Any reason for going with a tank over a solid state reverb brick?

Re: Stage centre reverb frustrations (video added)
No, I have 150ohm now.
So I have rewired the board on vero board to rule out my shonky jumpers being an issue, checked my power supply...The charge pump is working great. Getting +9 and -9 v where I should.
But still have little to no reverb. True bypass works, the mix and dwell pots seem to amplify signal more than anything else. There is definate reverb spring action when I tap the tank,
The tank is 150 ohm input 1500 output impedence. This should be well suited to op amp powered reverb circuit as far as I can tell.
here is a YouTube of it all.

Any ideas?

Re: Stage centre reverb build (video added)
'tis audioprobe time. You're losing signal somewhere between the guitar jack and the input to the tank (assuming impedances are right, too much coruba for me to say.)

Audio probe ay? Hmmm I'd better Google that.alanp wrote:'tis audioprobe time. You're losing signal somewhere between the guitar jack and the input to the tank (assuming impedances are right, too much coruba for me to say.)
Yes, it must be in tat link.
Once again, I stress that I haven't had a drink for a week due to being on perpetual night shifts. I'm sure once I crack a beer tomorrow night all will become clear.
