joyo Sweet Baby bass / gain increase.
Added some bass to the sweet baby by removing smd resister r14 (47k) and replacing with a 100k. Drops highpass from 720 to 338hz.
also added a 300k resister to the gain wiper now it does shredding:)

replaced the gain pot with a 1meg.
With the extra bass and gain, this is now my favorite dirt pedal.

I bought one knowing it would be low gain, not sure what there is to 'gain' from changing its character
So, is that low alcohol or no alcohol at all? mmmm, no alcohol, do you want to try it? Noooooooooo.

Yes, increasing the gain pot from 500k to 1meg made almost no difference, its already as gainy as it gets at 500k. I only have one dirt box on my board, so im obsessive about trying to find the one that suits me best. Sweet baby with the mods is my current fave, but theres a bad monkey and a timmy clone on the way...

I'm not really sure what I'm going to use it for, will try it into the plexi input of my Ryan built, for shits and giggles

For $49 you can't go wrong I reckon, my pedalboard is getting a bit ghetto, first a joyo od, and now a modtone wah, altho' the latter seems quite awesome, very underrated pedal.

Yeah, that's why I have about 6 joyo pedals on my ghetto board

They seem bloody good, wish Dave would get in the analog echo and some of the other models...Bg wrote:Yeah, that's why I have about 6 joyo pedals on my ghetto board

I must say I'm really impressed with this pedal, it's great at tightening a high gain amp up, or pushing a lower gain one into high gain goodness, shes a keeper!
