What are these like? local cashies has one for ~$160... would be for metal I guess, wanting something with a decent distortion until I get some pedals so it needs to have a nice clean channel as well :)

had one of these as my first amps, was an older model but yeh. was prety decent, good sound for a first amp, and can plug ipod etc in which is mint for playing along. maybe not 160 worth....keep an eyeout on trademe, cashies is usulay more expensive

TM has them all the time for less than 160

I had a 108 back in the day, that 8 inch speaker is struggling to put much low end out.

[edit] - just remembered what happened to that amp, I sold it to a guy who played electric mandolin. That probably tells you something about the frequency response :)
