Thats most of the reason I'm cheap, I just want to make shit again :) . It won't last....
I need a lathe and a milling machine. I'm holding out to ship my dads workshop over in a container :( Looking forward to catching up next month for his 90th! but I suspect that is the last time :(

No pics but.... Blackface twin reverb headcab is 85% complete. Another cab complete for Optical. 1 more is about 70% .

Think I might've said but it's a coincidence that it's also my dad's 90th next month too. I inherited a few of his hand tools a couple of years ago. Nothing as substantial as a lathe, mind. Safe trip and all that stuff.

I recon you should do something completely different while on your years experience. Building work or repair shop or something.

When my wife was quite young, the in-laws went to UK for 6-9 months (MIL is from Glasgow). So FIL got a job in a motorcycle shop. He's not a mechanic or anything, but it was something that interested him and he loved it. He was a teacher up till that point.

Recon you should have a look around at something completely different that might be more fulfilling for the next 6 months - esp if money isn't a major issue. There will be plenty more time for teaching back in NZ if that's what you want to do.

Spend some time for you!

Ok all work complete now. Off to europe in a week or so, needed to get everything finished.... So piccies!
Snakeskin vinyl ( managed to somehow make a silk purse out of it I think, but it doesn't stretch :( )
Western style tolex and marshall tolex on two marshall style head cabs.

Can you use cellulose dope to pull speaker cloth tight? Just wondering. Worked a treat on model aircraft when I was a kid.

Like the 'boutique' vinyl, by the way. Looks cool.
