I looks like some kind of plantation kauri. Probably from the islands.
I,m still going to put tolex on.
Custom Audio Boutique getting some fancy emerald stuff in. Try to get it to look something like my amp.

Cabinet built! Now waiting on tolex and grill cloth.

Mate, that looks great! i was just wondering if you have any construction tips as i would like to build a 2 x 12 cabinet one day.also was any of the discussion from AX84.com site about building a 1 x 12 cabinet helpfull?,would like to know what you thought.cheers

Sorry I didn't look very hard at AX84 site as I already built mine. If you serious about building a 2x12 the member dc has some kit sets for sale. The hardest part for me was finding decent plywood in Taranaki.

Wired the cab up today and took it along to practice.....mmmm yehhh sweeet. :lol:
The sound is really rich and full.
Still waiting for tolex and grill cloth so not looking as sweet as it sounds yet.
