Cable Snake DIY
sort of build your own amp section stuff, I'm not starting a build your own cables section anyway!
I'm wanting to build a couple of cable snakes for the gsystem. One long for stage (5 m?) and one short for home (1m). Struggling to find info on cable to use.
Anyone know where I can get some locally in Aucks? Anyone got recommendations? I'm thinking 4 way trs.
Ta muchly

How much did that set you back Ed? I'm tempted just to buy the leads I need and heat shrink them

BG, don't really remember. Maybe $60-80 for the cable + neutrik jacks etc. It was awhile ago. I don't even know how long mine is, maybe 4m.

Re: Cable Snake DIY
Hmmm yeah, but really that's just regular cables in a sleeve isn't it?
I'm thinking a proper cable snake which would be more flexible and smaller diameter etc

Re: Cable Snake DIY
I'm a guitar tech, and every professional guitar cable loom/snake that I have seen have looked exactly like Lawrence's one. The diameter really isn't that large at all, and I don't think you'd have any problems with flexibility.BG wrote:Hmmm yeah, but really that's just regular cables in a sleeve isn't it?

Re: Cable Snake DIY
This is the kind of stuff I had in mind, no offence meant to Lawrence. Have you really never seen these ones?
I'm not bothered about running power along with them. Which is why I'll probably go with the proel cable Simon stocks
