Post by Bg »

I'm wanting to build a couple of cable snakes for the gsystem. One long for stage (5 m?) and one short for home (1m). Struggling to find info on cable to use.
Anyone know where I can get some locally in Aucks? Anyone got recommendations? I'm thinking 4 way trs.

How much did that set you back Ed? I'm tempted just to buy the leads I need and heat shrink them ;)

Good point.

BG, don't really remember. Maybe $60-80 for the cable + neutrik jacks etc. It was awhile ago. I don't even know how long mine is, maybe 4m.

Hmmm yeah, but really that's just regular cables in a sleeve isn't it?
I'm thinking a proper cable snake which would be more flexible and smaller diameter etc

I'm a guitar tech, and every professional guitar cable loom/snake that I have seen have looked exactly like Lawrence's one. The diameter really isn't that large at all, and I don't think you'd have any problems with flexibility.

I'm not bothered about running power along with them. Which is why I'll probably go with the proel cable Simon stocks
