I will have to try that. Luckily I have a few pedals here to try and will in due course but better get it finished first.

I have only popped a Walrus Iron Horse Distortion in front so far. That was fun.

So the amp is virtually finished and has become a timely Christmas shelf. Image

I think I am going to build a Tele shaped mutt next. Off to buy a router ASAP.

How does it sound? "If up you make it look pretty enough its aloud in the living area" was that how the conversation went?

Thanks JB.

Reg, that is exactly how the conversation went. The amp sounds epic with a tube screamer type drive in front for a bit of a boost and a bit of echo or reverb to fill it out a bit.

I might have to try a solid state rectifier though as it cuts out way too early when I try and put any gain in front. Hopefully that will give it some extra versatility.

looks awesome, good job. Impressed you're getting away with keeping it in the living area! Good luck with the tele build.

Never had that problem with mine, though its not the usual vibrolux, it uses 5E3 trannies and other stuff. It's pretty easy to get an old rec valve, break it open and use the base for a s/s rather than modding. You can even introduce a bit of sag in there if you want.

Looks aweseome in the steriogram though. You should totally hook up the old record deck through it!

There is actually an off the shelf product that I can get from my tube guys that does just that. I should be able to get one for $20ish with my next order so no biggy.

do you ever use yours for crunch or just straight clean?

Impressive, and looks very presentable in the room too.
When faced with quality, I recognise it every time.

yeah weber do one, works really well.

I do all sorts with mine :) smacking it in the face with a clean boost has worked best for me. Though for me, its all about the cleans or edge of cleans, and the trem.

If I want a dirt amp,this isn't it.
