This is the EL34 triode connection mod, in my VOX Night Train 50.
In this case, the G1 grid stopper resistors can be replaced by 100Ohm ones, instead of the original 5.6KOhm.

An old 1973 Jansen Bass 25 carcass that I built a goosed-up* '65 supro t-bolt circuit into last year

* normal and hot switching input jacks and a James Tone stack with 'slope' (mid hump/scoop) and 'boost' (raw/tone stack lift) switches.

Runs a 5U4G and a pair of cathode biased russkie 5881s flat out. Heyboer OT and Basil Padgett PT from my stash
