Getting a Cut List Fulfilled

Post by Eruera »

I'd rather like to put together some fEARful cabinets but I don't have the toolage to cut down a 4x8 plywood sheet.

What manner of person would I approach with a cut sheet such as below to get it done?

http://greenboy.us/fEARful/DL/15+6/-add ... %204x8.pdf

Any specific recommendations in the lower NI?

Convert it all to metric.

Look up a local joiner or cabinet maker.

I had a pedal board cut out in a similar way when I was about 18, pre pedaltrains. Local cabinet and kitchen guy did it for me, far better job than I could do, and I glued and screwed it.

3/4" Finger-jointed solid pine slab is best for the top and sides (helps reduce weight and give the cap a nice resonance. 3/4" ply for the baffle and the back cover (if its a closed back cab, otherwise pine slabs for semi closed back covers). use 1" sq pine strips for anchoring backs from inside, and 1/2" x 2" flush-mounted pine slats for top/bottom floating baffle mounting plates.

Measure two times, clamp a saw guide down, check the drawings, spot your stupid mistake, re-clamp your saw guide, realise you forgot to allow for the width of the saw blade, measure and re-clamp again...
