Anybody need a schematic?

Post by Molly »

Got a cool new book in via Book Depository today.

Won't pretend to understand it at all but have the romantic notion to build myself a Plexi or some such. Anyway, it comes with shitloads of schematics in pdf format on an accompanying CD.

I'll attempt to add a link below. Just trying a new way of adding images so bear with me if it doesn't work straight away.

I just ordered that book the other day !
Tube amp and guitar tones straight from 1958… amazing how believable the sounds were back then, even without the modellers...

See PM. Here's a pic as an interim thing. The first one here is the Mk.1 (you can only see the Mk.2a part of the title but that refers to the next one on the page).

Some look professionally reproduced. Some are just sketches.

Here's a Marshall one:

Brian, could you knock up a Fender AA165 circuit for me please?

Beyond a critical point within a finite space, freedom diminishes as numbers increase. This is as true of humans as it is of gas molecules in a sealed flask. The human question is not how many can possibly survive within the system, but what kind of existence is possible for those who so survive.

No, just have a Gunn 200 slave which I will modify and I have another set of transformers.
I might build two killer Bass Amps if the first one goes to plan.

Interesting tone controls though.
The Marshall Major I believe was actually designed by GEC.
