Just Found my Dream Hardtail Bridge!
Its a Schaller - Hannes string through
Schaller picked this design up from a guy by the name of Roland Hannes whom I know little to nothing about other than he created this bad boy. Schaller now market it to the wider public although at this stage I get the feeling that you should buy two for parts later on.. I don't know why.. prob because it doesn't look like a strat bridge or a floyd
Saddles are created by graphtech..which look cool.
Don't know much about the pricing ..no point for me to know at present but I would imagine it would not be cheap.
Here is the product blurb that with links to the tech drawings, installation guides etc.

Anyway, hats off to a design and innovation that I totally dig!

looks cool, but also looks a bit too complicated for a hardtail, ie too many parts to wearout/break....
Hurdy Gurdy.... some how... and I'm not entirely certain how mind you, an instrument that sounds like someone has shoved a nest of angry hornets into a goose with a kazoo bill and is randomly slapping the poor creature with an accordion.... Sounds amazing.

It almost looks like more than it is.. its only the saddles that make it look complicated.. with graphite construction 'they' say less wear than steel etc.

VERY nice looking. I suppose the graphite vibrates less too, eh? More sustain? (I really should go read their blurb, I should)

Re: Just Found my Dream Hardtail Bridge!
The whole combination of bridge, pickup and control in gold looks very nice in that picture. From a styling perspective I'd consider it as an option.
I'd worry the saddles would break, they don't look as hard as steel - I'm probably completely wrong though.
I wonder how they feel when you palm mute off them or you rest you hand on the bridge during playing (terrible bad habit of mine I'm sure, and why I like the Gibson LP style two part tune-o-matic bridge as there's plenty of space to rest on)

These should probably be in the Tele Love Thread, but they do have the right bridge.
Beyond a critical point within a finite space, freedom diminishes as numbers increase. This is as true of humans as it is of gas molecules in a sealed flask. The human question is not how many can possibly survive within the system, but what kind of existence is possible for those who so survive.
