Re: Surf-caster build
Suggestion for the second photo on this page:
Remove the top "wave crest" by drawing a slightly curved line from fret 20 to where the trem bar "crosses" with the paper.
Now you have a single wave crest on the left side of the body. Copy that shape into the remaining right hand side bit of paper so it is more or less a mirror image. There you have it - two wave crests in opposite formation. I visualize it as simply stunning.

When faced with quality, I recognise it every time.

Thanks to jvpp we have a routed and beveled tort guard ready for installation.

The grain on the neck! Nice.
Never been a fan of the yellow/aged white stuff, but the tort guard matches them well.

Thanks guys, yeh I think it's gonna come together all right.
I plan to give the lacquer another week or two to fully harden before I screw anything down.

Re: Surf-caster build
Looking good. On the third pic, it looks like the distance between the guard and the sides is uneven in some places. If that is true, do you want to correct it?

It's only noticeable if you look at it.
Nah, I reckon once she's bolted down Itll be fine.
