It's a fine an glitzy piece of work, well done Si.
Has got me thinking again of Humbuckers...maybe in a Jazzmaster body for extra mass.

Beyond a critical point within a finite space, freedom diminishes as numbers increase. This is as true of humans as it is of gas molecules in a sealed flask. The human question is not how many can possibly survive within the system, but what kind of existence is possible for those who so survive.

What you need is Filtertrons. Filtertrons in a JM would be ace.

I know where this is heading.
I have a Filtertron loaded Duo Jet on the way for a visit.

The green Duo jet had single coils and what I noticed was how similar it sounded to my Strat and Korinacaster. Obviously not the same but in the same territory. The Strat does glassy cleans and sweet warm tones. The Korinacaster does bright, ringing cleans and P90 snarl and growl. What I'm wanting is something different; big round cleans and 5 ton violin drive tones.

This project will get off the ground one day.

Excellent! Filtertrons are a really interesting beast. Lots of clarity, but also lots of snarl and bite. I love them.

Filtertrons are the answer to everything. I think there's a bit of a false perception that they're only good for thin and bright and twangy and I want to smash my skull on the desk every time I see a youtube video of a Gretsch or a Cabronita that demonstrates only that sound. There's so much more to them than that. Roll the tone knob virtually right back and they become lovely and dark and moody but still clear. They are always, always clear. Slowy, get yourself some TV Jones 'trons and be a happy man. There are so many options too. If the TV Classic doesn't deliver the 5 ton violin tones you're after, then the Classic Plus or Powertron probably will.

Even if you don't actually- a JM style trem completely changes the way a guitar sounds.

No, that's for a different problem- dodgy saddle design. A mustang bridge fixes that particular one just as well.
