There are still some that think the neck PU is moved to accommodate the extra frets which only proves they cannot detect the difference in length of each.

Here was I thinking you were talking about 70's fenders where they invented Sunburst to hide the edges of the Ply

Sunburst was a colour option in 1954
and I'd be very surprised about plywood. Shit QA department and build quality in certain years but otherwise, yeah.

Though quite happy to be proved wrong...

just that you've claimed that 20 years of fender strats. 1965 - 1985 were made from plywood, or am I mistaken?

Gibson were doing sunburst mandolins in the 1920s and even earlier.

I think someone must be referring to that "red wines, mate" finish. ;)
