Are you planning on building one out of an old barn door or something?

Not exactly, but I am keen on making an archtop in the style of the 6122 with a set neck. Neither of which I have done so far.Conway wrote:Are you planning on building one out of an old barn door or something?
Do you have an old maple barn door for sale? I'll have it

Re: Gretsch 6122 shape outline
I should explain that better, the souble cut 6122 has the same lower horn as the single cut 6120, so draw around the bottom half of the 6120, then mirror that vertically, boom, double cut version!jvpp wrote:I think they are different shapesjeremyb wrote:mirror your 6120

Re: Gretsch 6122 shape outline
Yes I did get that bit but I thought they were slightly different. At least when I look at some pics of each I perceive them as different. Probably not a big deal, so may as well try your suggestion. What about the body thickness?jeremyb wrote:I should explain that better, the souble cut 6122 has the same lower horn as the single cut 6120, so draw around the bottom half of the 6120, then mirror that vertically, boom, double cut version!jvpp wrote:I think they are different shapesjeremyb wrote:mirror your 6120
