If you email them they may have a map body available, really responsive to enquiries.

So spent the afternoon noodling on this, first aligning the centre block. Straight edge down from the neck and mark both sides. Carry the marks over to the underside and align the centre block. Heck they even include a pencil and notepad in the kit.

Then sand to fit the centre block until the 2 halves of the body close under minimal pressure. I had to take about 4mm off under the neck pocket area and about 3mm off the rest.

And then a swimming pool of epoxy to glue it all in and fill the gaps between centre block and body. Now drying.

Nice, I suppose the binding bit is holding/fusing the two parts of the body together on the outside. Is the fusion permanent?

Interesting clamps - I've never seem them before with 2 clamp screws.
Are they designed for any particular industry?

This is looking great. Definitely re-igniting my GAS for one of these.

For others interested, here's quite a detailed build journal for one of these Res-O-Glas guitars.

Don't need to be a facebook user to see.

They are sound hole clamps used usually for clamping an acoustic bridge, the 2 screws are so the clamp sits flat and doesn't tilt.

It's an adhesive backed strip. According to the instructions you can remove it using a hair dryer. They supply 2 sets.

ETA: It is decorative to hide the join, the back screws to 4 blocks glued in.

Finished the neck

Then drilled the neck screw holes and epoxied the mounting blocks. Just waiting for my drill to charge to finish drilling the neck and mount it.

I really need to get a decent drill, this one is a Warehouse cheapie and is starting to not hold charge that well. So off to the hardware tomorrow to get a better one.

Putting the tuners in was a pain in the arse, the holes on the headstock were too close together so had to file the tuner ends to get a decent fit. Ah well cheap from China always has issues but it is looking good.
