When faced with quality, I recognise it every time.

Re: Nothing to see here
If I can get the steiny tuners again Ill stick with my headstock design. If not Ill adapt it just enough to take 3+3 sperxel locking or similar.willow13 wrote:looks very interesting..look forward to seeing the headstock

Not wanting to sound like the judges from "House rules", but that is a really sweet looking layout. Take it the top isn't carved? Can't wait to see more!

Re: Nothing to see here
actually top will be carved...its 12 mm and the carve will go all the way down to the maple layer at the edge. Its the same technique I used on Number 15. I would have liked a thicker top for this but Im working within the resources at hand.Lostininverness wrote:Not wanting to sound like the judges from "House rules", but that is a really sweet looking layout. another tidbit....its going to have an Ibanez ZR Trem and 6 way switching on a Freeway toggle.

Nice. So you'll use the maple more like an edging feature like binding ratther than carve the top so the maple is visible from the top?Lawrence wrote:actually top will be carved...its 12 mm and the carve will go all the way down to the maple layer at the edge. Where did you source the trem from?
