For Xmas my partner dug out a strat body that I had left in the cupboard primed, sanded and abandoned. She took it to her uncle who is a car painter and asked him to do something different and this is what he came up with. I've seen a few classic car dash boards he has done to similar effect. Very clever with the gun and the brush. 2k on top to is a great, hard finish.
The body came in a new hard case with a voucher for the pups and a bank balance for the remainder.
Alder body, Schaller straplocks, Wilkinson contemporary bridge, Obsidian blender pot wiring, Dimarzio AT-1 (b) 54 (m) and Heavy blues 2 (n) pups. Maple/Rosewood neck, Gotoh locking tuners.
I feel she is somewhat feeding an addiction, but who am I to say no!

I can see them both hanging around for a few more years yet!

Cool as. Just tell her that on the NZG forum every partner does that every year in some form.
When faced with quality, I recognise it every time.
