Picked up a current model Epiphone dot studio for a crazy good price on trademe and wanting to do some modifying.
Cosmetically
have ordered a long 355 pick guard, and new tophat knobs
considering shortening the headstock back to gibson length and profile
going to fit a bigsby
really Don't like the look of the black open hum buckers and wondering on what would it do to the sound to fit chrome covers to the pickups, changing them out sounds like quite the ordeal on semi, has anyone fitted these to their pickups before

Re: Epiphone Studio Dot
You should definitely replace everything on it with Gotoh parts, get it setup and perfected by Peter Stephens, put bareknuckle black dogs in it and then sell it for $500 less than the cost of everything to a guy who drives a united video rally car and gives you a Guinness

Well, that renders my impending "you should ask Toany" post obsolete then
