There ya go, food colour amber - mostly yellow with a little red tint and a shot of bourbon for luck, the clear got some of this added as tint too.
Eight years later... the clear has soft pliable texture, similar delicateness as nitro. It's very much like cellotape that won't degrade, be interesting to see what happens with more years.
When new the yellow was quite loud and as you can see it softening out to amber now, the pic of the backside more so because the sun was close to setting. No clear on the playing part of neck, bare wood, dye & linseed oil.

Thanks, I quite like that. I think I will do the reverse mix, mostly red with a bit of yellow. Not sure about what liquer to throw in :)
When faced with quality, I recognise it every time.

Epiphone Riviera P93 & EJ200CE, Hagstrom Viking Bass, Doubleneck bass/guitar.
Rivera Clubster 45, Carvin AG100D, Ashton BSK158.

Wetted the top with a damp cloth to bring the colour up....
Would look good in natural with the ebony binding. Much like that macrocarpa blonde with light golden/orangy streaks.

Need to sleep on it - orange vs natural

I was 100 percent on the orangy red colour, but that natural with black looks equally cool. Either way, you can't go wrong
