My latest build

Post by SimpleSi »

Pictures: https://imgur.com/a/kTq6Q

Specs:

Korina Neck with Rosewood fretboard (Black Walnut veneer with a Rosewood truss veneer)
Fijian Mahogany Body (Adrian) with Black Walnut bookmatch top. (Rarefind Timbers)
25.5" Scale - my favourite.

Grover 3-per side Tulip Tuners.
Tusq nut
Duesenberg Wrap around bridge
Duesenberg "D-Tron" Humbucker Neck
Duesenberg "Little Toaster" Humbucker Bridge (Joe Walsh)

3-way Toggle with Push/pull tone and volume pots for both neck and bridge on their own (Obsidianwire/Tonelounge)
Treble Bleed circuit.

Inlay lasered in by Emblems NZ and Laser cut MoP - not fun superglueing it in I'll tell you that much.. I Might stick with blank headstocks next time.

One final setup help from Grant this weekend has done the job.

I did the majority of the work at home, Spent a weekend up with Trevor Binford as he helped with the neck - Made me do 90% of it myself after explaining how to use the tools for fretting etc.

Great learning experience as this was my first build where i've done 100% of it - I'd usually buy a neck.

For whatever reason at the end of the Instagram reel was a picture of an elderly lady and her cat.

For it is a cracker, enjoyed the facebook build series too :) Necks are the bane of my life - wrt starting one! Its there but without bandsaw I don't want to bugger with the jigsaw. I have a large workshop full of shit, I need a bandsaw!

100 kudos points to you, its a hot one!
