Weather induced home work - SG2000 cover plate

Post by Jay »

The weather forced me to stay inside... so made a template and new cover plate as the original was cracked in two places and bits missing. Happy with the result.

Anyone else cashing in on procrastinated jobs?

I might top wrap my SG with 10's in a bit.
Tube amp and guitar tones straight from 1958… amazing how believable the sounds were back then, even without the modellers...

Building a new deck on the back of the house. Of course being in Christchurch means the weather is sunny and a bit too hot to be swinging a hammer.

1958 Fender twin, 1965 Vox AC30, 1966 Marshall JTM 45, 1977 Dumble OD Special.
Big black garbage bag full of original Klon Centaurs and TS808s.

Does the new plate not interfere with the springs cover plate?

I put 10's on the SG, didn't top wrap though, I do prefer them over the 09's. I might actually play a guitar today as its raining.
