Is that an import size control plate and usa size pickguard?

USA made control plate and pick guard - but the guard has a deeper positioned cut out...so it just needs a gentle widening of the hole at the front. If I can be bothered. Here's a genuine vintage to show what I mean. Look at the amount of plastic on the guard at the bottom vertical. Less than on mine.

And this one...mine control plate fits tight into the hole (!) but the guard I reckon is a bit short in that area.

This guard isn't perfect and I may look at a celluloid one sometime in the future.

There's nothing I've done that any other person couldn't do with commitment. The key to these partsocasters being good is the quality of the components. I don't mind spending $600 on a neck if I know it's going to be exactly what I want.
