sure thing.Lostininverness wrote: ↑Sat Oct 23, 2021 5:43 pm Nice one. If you can manage a review once you've used it a bit, that'd be great!!
I had trouble finding one that I liked due to the Covid supply chain issues...I was planning on a smaller one - the Record Power Sabre, but they cant supply. While assembling etc I was very happy with what I saw - construction is good etc. The real test will be a couple of weeks away - I need to make some neck blanks using Sipo mahogany which is pretty hard....

Re: NBSD
Nice! I had to get a blade made for mine the other week because they no longer make that size. After 10 yeas of the old one I'd forgotten what a sharp blade could do...
So, what are the blade specs? Have you gone wider?

Re: NBSD
It came with a 13mm 6tooth blade. Thats useful. I also bought a spare and a 6 tooth 6mm blade. I thought about getting a 4 tooth for resawing but Ill see how the 6 goes. It can take a 18mm but I don't think I need it.
I had a 10mm on my ryobi...Im thinking of getting it recconditioned a bit and putting a thin blade on for the odd tight curve - we'll see.
Its also arrived very well set up...the only thing Im going to duct is the tracking as Ive seen advice to run the blade a little further over so the Teeth are on the crown of the wheel - this is a level of detail that's new to me so Ill try it.

Re: NBSD
Nice weapon!
Do you intend to resaw rough stock down to dimension sizes or mostly use for shaping already dimensioned timber? What's the max cutting throat depth?
Does the blade track well...interested in the guide set-up and tracking especially through dense timber stock. The dust extractor behind it looks more than capable of keeping up...do you think you could get away with a heavy duty shop vac for the same purpose?
Great set-up! I love tools. Yeah, man...a review would be cool.
