Some Blues..

i'm doing this blues duels competition type thing on ultimate guitar for lols, (and more to get me used to recording myself and get some consistency), so here's my first track. Most of the other guys in the competition are either 15-16 year olds who can't play blues yet or are jazz/rock players trying to play blues, but it gives me something to do
First take too, so it's warts and all

Wow, some nice playing there, me impressed.
The older I get, the more disappointed in myself I become.
Re: Some Blues..
Very nice Very authentic tone and playing - and great dynamics

Re: Some Blues..
can't believe i managed to get a passable tone through my shitty set up. I ended up testing it against the track and going with what it sounded like through audacity on playback rather than what it sounded like in the room. It sounded like ASS in the room, i had to drench it in reverb for reverb to even show up and have mids and bass maxed to overpower the piercing treble badness hahaTsuken wrote:Very nice Very authentic tone and playing - and great dynamics

Re: Some Blues..
wtb some 335 goodness tbh.. hopefully my gas goes away once my strat gets set up properly (again..)
Re: Some Blues..
took it to music works in the hutt, they did a horrid job at fret leveling and set up and still charged me $180 despite me being unhappy with the result.. bastaaaards. Also changing from 9's to 11's to try and get a fatter sound, really went off my strat in the last 4 months, couldn't get a decent sound out of it >.<
