When I first heard of this song's solo I just decided I have to work out how to play it lol and thanks to it I've been exploring My Epi Les Paul and it turned out to be a very cool learning experience!

Only recently caught onto Joe Bonamassa, he's a part-time DJ on a classic rock station here and they play a bit of his stuff now and again. Pretty awesome, they play a live version of The River, which was a total holy shit moment when I first heard it.

yeah He's a awesome player and songwriter and consider his age he's got a lot more mileage
