Recorded in my shed, won an award :)
Howzit ...
I recorded this in my shed with Logic and a cheap mic back in 2011.
I had to stop everytime a truck went past the house, or the rain got to heavy on the steel roof.
I mixed it myself and put it in for the Apra Maioha award at the silver scrolls - and won - whatta fluke haha.
Anyway - never did release it ... so im just chucking a few links to it around.
(This is the English version, original is bi-lingual)
chur for listening!

Sounds good! I enjoyed that, congrats on the award as well. Nice pipes too, really reminded me of the Fat Freddys lead singer.
Loving it so far

I really, really like this. Nice melancholy feel to it.

Very nice indeed !
Tube amp and guitar tones straight from 1958… amazing how believable the sounds were back then, even without the modellers...

Thanks for listening guys... and thanks for the comments, much appreciated.
For the person asking - at the silver scrolls each year there is 5 awards given out.. the Maioha award is one of them.

I looked it up, it's this...
First presented in 2003, the APRA Maioha Award seeks to recognise excellence in contemporary Maori music and to acknowledge waiata in, or strongly featuring Te Reo Maori.
Twas just curious,
