Man, that is awesome. It just really held my interest, every time I thought about flicking over to something else, a new hook or idea would spring up and capture me all over again.

Lol I'm durr with timings but there is some weird sigs in his tracks, it challenges my sense of rhythm.

Loving this Laney IRT though been googling the specs and reviews. :geek:

That sounds great. Loved the playing. Just out of interest, how long did it take to do it all.

Thanks Danny.
It was probably around two hours.

I was sitting there just mucking around and came up with the riff in the verse.
I then wrote the drum beat and recorded the riff. Then jammed with that to come up with the chord progression behind it. Then, as normally happens once I've estabilshed a core riff the rest of the song came to me quite quickly and I tracked that.

I didn't really do any mixing or Eqing, just a low pass filter on the guitars to give the bass guitar some room and a delay plug in on the intro lead.

The playing and timing is a bit rough but I only did one take for everything.

The Ironheart range is really, really good for high gain/metal. I'm now using an IRT Studio and Ironheart 2x12. Loving it.

The DI out sounds great. Using that and Bias Desktop for tracking demos/recordings now.

Little Ironheart DI clip from last week I recorded below.

I get more of a Satch vibe off that. It's cool, I like it.

That led me to check out this, which is cool too:

That was f'kin' impressive. I listened to this and watched the mini pedal board video. Came away thinking: "F**k, I need to start putting my gear to good use". Any use.

Learning to focus on writing with a guitar in your hands is actually kinda hard. It's so easy just to sit there and play away without actually achieving anything.

Three guitar tracks through out; Left, Right and center
Just listened through the Presonus Eris E8s. Could hear the separation of the three tracks really clearly. Laney IRT sure is good. Nice composition too.

Just wondering though, did you compress it. Thought there was some pumping at the start, but not sure if it was in the mastering, or the MP3 was playing up.
