Sorry to hear that. Where were you parked? Should probably do a PSA that Brown Street in Ponsonby is notorious for car thefts too - musicians often park there when going to One2One cafe and there have been several instances - the theory is that the thieves park tall vans next to the car to conceal the break ins from the street.

It's not my stuff thankfully. The pedalboard and pedals belong to Dixon Nacey - A top guitarist in Auckland. I don't know where he was parked, just have the info he posted on his facebook. Just spreading the word incase somebody sees these being flogged off.

Interesting theory though.. So sad it happens.

Damn, those Boss pedals will be hard to track down on account of being so common. Some of the other stuff sticks out more at least.

The Wampler Ego Squasher is almost unique. It's an early model which changed quickly and becam the Ego Compressor. That's the one to watch for.
Beyond a critical point within a finite space, freedom diminishes as numbers increase. This is as true of humans as it is of gas molecules in a sealed flask. The human question is not how many can possibly survive within the system, but what kind of existence is possible for those who so survive.

if I'm corrected most insurance for music gear doesn't cover it for being in your car if you're going to and from gigs. They wouldn't let me insure my gear for gigs because apparently a gig is work and therefore they are work related items, unless I doubled my premium and even then it would only cover individual items up to $2000 each, which isn't much use when Most of the stuff I use for gigs is worth far more than 2k. I told them it was ridiculous as obviously it's far more likely for my stuff to get stolen at a gig then from home but they wouldn't budge. A car may be different though.

Sorry to hear this though, poor guy. Robbers are poos

it all depends on the policy wording

mine is home & contents and it includes up to $20K of "work tools". specific questioning on the subject to tower has clarified that my music gear is insured, and it's also insured away from home (in the car, at a mates place for up to 30 days, anywhere in NZ).
