Had a quick loom through the vst thread and there's no mention of amp modeling or IR's.
What you guys like to use? I'm mainly interested in Marshall tones at the mo.
Free or not.
And what cab emulation are you using?
Cheers.

Bias seems to get the rave reviews from the higher gain crowd, I'm not using vst's for guitar, just my HD500X and an AMT Pangaea IR Loader running either the redwirez IR's or Gods Cab (Free!!! and current favourite)...

Most of the free versions out there start you off with a Marshall emulation. I've been using Eleven for Pro Tools for a long time now (plug-in or hardware) but recently got Softube Vintage Amp Room and that's awesome.

I liked bias so much that I bought it.... and it does really good low gain too. I have bias fx too.
I don't use either much now I'm running an amplifire, handy for reamping etc though.

So, is that low alcohol or no alcohol at all? mmmm, no alcohol, do you want to try it? Noooooooooo.

Re: Post ya fave amp modeling vsts..
anyone know of any that will work with an old G5 powerPC mac? so far haven't had much luck getting any to work. I am wanting to ditch my line 6 GX because I get sick of having to go through menus to change between devices when recording different instruments.vocals
