NA'sD
A little bit late but figure Id post latest acquisitions, as they both pleasantly surprised me. First up, a Mesa Stiletto Deuce head. Being as this is meant to be the "Marshally" Mesa I was expecting it to be more of an 800 type thing as opposed to a high gain beast. It has all the grunt i would need. Essentially its still a dual recto given that it has 2 modes of rectification, not as woomphy as other rectos Ive had but does that well and even sounds nice clean. Well I thought it did the chug thing nicely till I plugged in the next buy- an earlier model 2 channel trippe recto. Having owned a triple, single and roadster model Rectos in the past I thought I knew what these were all about, but the 2 channel is a whole new ball game. It actually sounds like it wants to escape the speakers. Heaps more clarity at stupidly high volumes, none of that fizz often associated with newer Rectos. Finally found the amp that will stick around forever I think!

Oh also NGD. Pictured is a Japanese Ibanez K7. Like all the other rg7s but its Mahogany instead of Basswood. Found it in a Cash Convertors for not very much money. The Universe next to it has been around for a longtime and has BKP Painkillers in it. I didnt think Id find a guitar that even came close. The K7 pretty much rules. Except for the big dumb fingerboard inlay. Sweet, but yuck.

Re: NA'sD
It wasnt an amp Id wanted in particular, but it came up at a "cant say no" price so grabbed it anyway. If youre local youre welcome to give it a hoon. (Local being wellington) It seems like there isnt a hell of a lot of them around.
