Re: DJW amps
oh olleg, why do you do this to me.
There are still some that think the neck PU is moved to accommodate the extra frets which only proves they cannot detect the difference in length of each.

Re: DJW amps
Thanks, but I think I run the risk of divorce if I come home with another amp lol.olegmcnoleg wrote:I've got a DJW Black Cat Bone I'm not using much... 18w, plexi-style amp, in a Marshall combo, greenback speaker, McPherson power soak mod...has more knobs thoughMini Forklift Ⓥ wrote:Very nice thread resurrection!
I was keeping my eyes on one of the DJW amps housed in a small Marshall combo, think it only had 3 knobs and the seller was after $1,200 on TM. No doubt it was a great little amp if not somewhat on the pricey side - or maybe I was missing something.
You can have it for $600, plus shipping.
Sharp price though, and sounds right up my street.

This is arriving this afternoon. NADnull_pointer wrote:Both were great amps but man I wish I'd kept the Kakariki.
Re: DJW amps
Just out of curiosity, can you remember what you paid or what the Kakariki is worth? I’ve just bought it after spending the weekend with it but just realised I don’t actually know what the original ballpark figure was.null_pointer wrote:I've had the Kereru (10w, same as BG but in a full sized enclosure) and the Kakariki (Trainwreck Rocket Clone). Both were great amps but man I wish I'd kept the Kakariki.
Mine has the serial number #15 and has a 2006 Test Tag sticker on the back of it.

Re: DJW amps
resurrecting this thread because there's a DJW Bull Farm for sale on FB for $900 and know zilch about it, what's the consensus on these?
I'd love a Fender voiced amp but those available are way over my budget

Re: DJW amps
You mean Fender clean? The amps of Daves I've owned or heard are Marshall derivatives. or marshallesque
So, is that low alcohol or no alcohol at all? mmmm, no alcohol, do you want to try it? Noooooooooo.

Re: DJW amps
I was watching a previous sale of a similar DJW amp type in a Marshall 2 x 12 cabinet, and if I remember correctly it was selling for $750 or so. It's hard to determine reasonable price range on this kind of amp...
Yes, M'Lady.
