I have not tried Bias yet. I have been using Guitar Rig for some time now and Eleven when I had my Avid interface. What I find with the older POD stuff and also with the interfaces and modelling software I have used is that I notice a huge difference when i use a tube amp after using nothing but modelling for ages. The amps are far more sensitive and reveal mistakes much more etc. I am hoping something like Amplifire that has inputs designed for guitar will address this problem. I think interfaces like UAD Apollo with Hi-z inputs might be another option that solves this.jeremyb wrote:If you're going to run into an interface anyway why not use something like Bias on your computer?

Re: The Amplifire Thread
Hope someone can help me here.. If I want to run my Amplifire through the fx loop of my tube head, do I just go from send on Amplifire into effects return on amp?
My amps fx loop is line level too so not sure if this matters or if it should be instrument level.

Re: The Amplifire Thread
no thats the internal amplifire fx loop within itself..... go from fx loop send on amp to IN on amplifire (the usual guitar input) then left(mono) out to fx loop return on amp... make sense?
So, is that low alcohol or no alcohol at all? mmmm, no alcohol, do you want to try it? Noooooooooo.

Re: The Amplifire Thread
Sold my Amplifire (3/Red) last night. Found out tonight via FB Msg that Atomic are hoping to have their Firebox pedal out mid-April ish in the US! That's not too far away at all, wahoo! And very cool to actually get a FB Message direct from a manufacturer. Love that! 'Boutique' vibes right there!
So, maybe May early June in AU/NZ?
