The firebox? Keen to hear how that goes for you. Looks cool how you can upload your own IRS's to it.

Ah, I prepaid my GST over the phone on Thursday night but still they couldn't clearly get it sent out today, as per UPS's website expectation. Ah well. Tomorrow! Yes, pretty keen to hear it (although, technically, I know it sounds good as it's theoretically identical to the 'red' Amplifire but it has been 6 months...) and really like the idea of a footswitchable toggle between a bassman/deluxe and an AC30, or similar.

I can confirm it still requires it’s own PS and won’t power off a 500 mA Ojai (boo!) but sounds great! Cool to have reverb (and everything else) on a knob and amp-like. Haven’t tried it with pedals yet but deluxe, top boost, baseman and rumble all in fine form.

Any idea what bitrate IR's this thing can take? 48 or 96kHz? Took a look at the manual couldn't spy it.

No idea, sorry. Though I have heard that loading new IRs can make a good difference.

Yer and for the price it looked like a good option vs the Torpedo CAB, with the bonus of all the other effects/amps etc.

Turns out you can load up a 96kHz IR, it will convert it down to 48kHz.

Where are you shopping for IRs? Might have a look at some in the new year when I have some time! :|

I'd like to try the Rosen Digital ones, but their website doesn't have much detail, and while they mention 96kHz, I need 48kHz for my AMT loader. I asked if they supported multiple formats, nil reply.

Just got some 3sigma ones tonight. Very good, and cheaper than Celestion.

Yeah I love them. They improved their conversion process a few months ago and now there's no fizz.
Can be a bit bassy but not hard to eq out.
