So you've had the Boogie, the Krank, the JVM, the Ryan head etc... plenty of good tube amps.

How does this stack up against a real amp for gain tones?

Before you bought it I'd never heard of it so I'm interested :)

So it covers all the above and is similar to the 11rack as you have 8 slots to move your effects ect

but also has 3 channels
channel 1 clean
channel 2 crunch
channel 3 lead

CH 1
Triple 6 CH1
DARKFACE ‘65 (US)
RECTO (US) CH1
BASSFACE ’59 (US)
Slo Drive (US)
XTC CH1
Orange(uk)

CH 2
Triple 6 CH2
TOP 30 (UK)
Slo Drive (US)
Rock ’75 (UK)
XTC CH2

CH 3
Triple 6 CH3
Recto (US)
Rock 900 (UK)
Slo Drive (US)
HeaVy ’51

This is from the manual and has been updated with more amps and effects since release
put into it a 500 mono power amp and or 250 x 2 stereo amp and its makes it very usable at low levels as well as pumping it up
plus the ability to disable the power amp and just use the effects or vice versa

How does this compare to the Kemper, both price and tone wise? Seems like a cool unit, and whil I've never used DVMark gear, I've heard the MarkBass stuff, which sounds great

Cool that you bought the Multiamp. It's a pretty cool piece of kit that doesn't get discussed enough.

Sorry for the late reply this thread gets so busy :)

never played a kemper so not able to compare but pricewise its about half price of a kemper and as for the tones i think it nails them quite well and has the definition of a tube amp

On another note my second cab arrived today(got pinged with the import tax but hey ho)
so the 2 are 150 watt cabs but slightly different voicings
playing in stereo is a bit of a mindblow lol
ive added some pic of the 3 channels you get and whats available(some missing as you need to scroll thro

Does it push air like a valve amp?

It seems to do everything, but does it make a decent latte?

You do realise that all this digital technology would be useless in the event of a nuclear war as the EMP would kill them. A trusty old valve amp would be fine and you could still play some wicked blues riffs while watching your hair fall out and cock drop off.
Tube amp and guitar tones straight from 1958… amazing how believable the sounds were back then, even without the modellers...
