Friends reunited page formally known as I've gone and done a JB ;)

Post by Olderama »

Hi all

well had a fantastic offer on my Marshall today and even tho i had alot of success with it this week i cant justify to myself and the space here a 100watt fuck ass heavy combo so its going
So then the usual GAS attack of what can i get to replace it?
What can i get to run my pedals thro?

And i came to the conclusion nope i dont need a valve amp with my Multiamp so im shoving the funds towards a nice guitar and making do with one rig
(lol one rig and im a home twiddle thumper)
Just feels very weird after having some sort of valve amp around for the last few yrs

(technically i do have 2 rigs as i have a GT100 sitting lonely now)

You'll be back... ;-)

You'll miss fragile tubes, weighty amps, weird noises you wonder if you should investigate, and the addictive smell of a warm, dusty amp.

Good man, valve amps are pointless for home use unless you live in the stix and get to crank the fuck outta them, even 1W of toob power is too much if you have kids :(
