Mmmm I have the urge to want to be a LP / Trainwreck kinda guy, but my skills are more in the Ibanez / 5150 campnull_pointer wrote:Interesting JB...I'd have thought you had a more ferrous taste in Toan. The Trainwrecks sure have a great snarl to them

Love that Strat tone he gets. Thanks for the link. Now I want a fucking unattainable amp.... LOLjeremyb wrote:Wheres your favourite toans at?

Nah not meaning to downplay it at all, I'm just much better at doing chuggy downpicking stuff rather than noodly blues stuff that the LP/TW combo seems more suited to, likewise if blues lawyer dude tries to play a high gain amp with an Ibanez it's the same kinda outta your depth / comfort zone thingDanger Mouse wrote:jeremyb wrote:Mmmm I have the urge to want to be a LP / Trainwreck kinda guy, but my skills are more in the Ibanez / 5150 campnull_pointer wrote:Interesting JB...I'd have thought you had a more ferrous taste in Toan. Hmmm, you sound like you're saying an Ibanez into a 5150 is a thing of low worthiness. I spent a large chunk of the 90's playing an Ibanez into a 5150.
It's funny, back then I became known as "the 5150 guy" as I got mine not long after they were 1st released and well before they became a staple brootz amp.jeremyb wrote:Nah not meaning to downplay it at all, I'm just much better at doing chuggy downpicking stuff rather than noodly blues stuff that the LP/TW combo seems more suited to, likewise if blues lawyer dude tries to play a high gain amp with an Ibanez it's the same kinda outta your depth / comfort zone thingDanger Mouse wrote:jeremyb wrote:

Well you almost shut me down posting Kuykendall. Brilliant stuff.jeremyb wrote:Wheres your favourite toans at?
There are some TW-type amps on the market. Ceriatone does some cheap ones. Komet produces amps that were designed and authorised by Ken Fischer.Molly wrote:Love that Strat tone he gets. Thanks for the link. Now I want a fucking unattainable amp.... LOL
