Saw these on tardme, artist guitars are doing them for $329 shipped, pretty cheap for a 5W champ amp!
Sounds pretty good too....

Looks like a great amp for the cash - keen to get one for home practice as the Marshall a bit powerful for my suburbia house!

Re: Joyo JTA-05
MPC ones are handwired 5F2A's which is the Princeton circuit, the joyo is a pcb version of a 5F1 champ which many actually prefer... Breaks up a lot sooner etc...twangnsnarl wrote:I assumed this was the same as the MPC amps but looks to be even better, IMO.

Re: Joyo JTA-05
I've just ordered the 12" MPC one, never tried one but by all accounts the 5F2a circuit is a good one!
I love my little Fender Champion 600 which is apparently closer to a Bkackface champ than a Tweed Princeton but the 5f2a sounds like it has a little more attitude than a Bkackface.
The Joyo sounds nice though and is worth giving a go for the price! If you hate it after 6 months worst case sernario you loose a hand shandy or 2 at most probably.
I've bought pedals for almost double that price!

Love my MPC 5F2A, had it for a few years now. First one I had I gave to a friend from Canada he loved it so much. The one I have now is the 8 inch speaker wired with a 3 way switch with the original circuit and a treble boost and bass boost voicings.

Looks tidy on the inside too, I wasn't to sure tbh but finally decided to give one a shot and see how it goes. Should get it next week.k1w1 wrote:Love my MPC 5F2A, had it for a few years now. How loud is it before it starts to break up?

Re: Joyo JTA-05
Midway on the dial about 6 it gets to where soft playing is clean and digging in gets some hair, breakup increases from there. It is loud but not too bad for home. I generally use a Joyo Vintage Drive pedal for drive and play around 3-4 on the volume.
I had the Gretsch branded Champion 600, if you like the Fender Champion 600 you are going to love this great tone and with the bigger speaker very versatile.
